Zedonk Love!

Okay so random post, but have you ever seen a cross between a donkey and a zebra? This wasn't planned or anything - it was born a few days ago in Dahlonega, GA (not too far from me), and I love it! Isn't it so cute?

Eat Pray Love

I am in the process of reading Eat Pray Love (it's been a lonnnggg summer read) but I hope to finish it next week when I go to the beach! I just found out that my mom is also reading it, and I want to go see the movie with her when it comes out in August!

DIY Wedding Cake

Love love love this DIY wedding cake on Project Wedding: It is pound cake with butter cream frosting - bet it tastes as good as it looks!

Katie Holmes as Jackie O

I am loving all of the pictures that keep surfacing of Katie Holmes playing Jackie O - I think she looks just like her in some of the photos. I will have to see this movie just for the fashion!

Heirloom Recipe Box

I love Rifle Paper Co.! My current obsession is this Heirloom Recipe Box made handmade from recycled wood. Isn't it gorgeous?! Anyone want to give me $120 so I can pre-order one?

Creatures of Comfort

One day when I can buy anything I want, I will buy tons of dresses from Creatures of Comfort! Here are some of my faves:

Karen Walker Cascade Shift Dress:

Whats for Supper?

I want to try this Southern Living shrimp and grits recipe! Sounds quick and easy and delicious!

Half Marathon Training

I am in the midst of training for my first ever half marathon!
These are the workouts for the week:
1 min run & 2 min walk - x6
3 min run & 2 min walk - x4
3 mile run
4 mile group run
I'm half way through the week! It is fun and rewarding and I love feeling healthy!

Old Navy Finds

I love walking into Old Navy or Gap at any given time knowing I can pick up some great basics - tops, shorts, shoes, blazers, etc. While these stores don't usually have "statement" clothing, they are consistent and reliable and I love them. Kristina and I ran into Old Navy yesterday and I found a few things!

I got these beauties for $12 (except in a great mustard yellow color): I love my black Old Navy trench coat, and I had to pick this red one up for UGA games in the Fall: I wear shorts all the time in the summer, and these $15 white ones are my new favorites:

Make Something Good Today

Lucas is leaving in a month for Stanford (tear...), but before he goes I have been trying to cook a lot! Just this weekend I've made a cheesy hash brown casserole, truffle brownies, and chicken chili!

Have you made something good today? I'd love to have this print from Please Be Still to inspire me to cook, sew, and be crafty on a daily basis. DIY projects of all sorts definitely make me happy, but sometimes life moves too quickly and I never slow down enough to make things!

Wallpaper City Guides

I love to travel and travel guides are a great way to read up on all the sights to see, but they're usually 1. bulky and 2. a dead giveaway that you're a tourist.

Introducing the chic and colorful Wallpaper City Guides that can easily slip into a purse or back pocket! I want all of them and then I want to go to all of the cities. For less than $10, they would make a great present to a friend going abroad!

Sewing!

My mom has slowly been teaching me to sew. I've really been wanting to take on a new sewing project lately.

I really want this Sew Retro book:

Isn't this pincushion from Namolio precious?

And then I want to make this $5 bow shirt! Check out the DIY tutorial on I Still Love You!:
