Wedding Planning Books

In the era of Pinterest and blogging, wedding planning can become a little overwhelming. There are so many ideas out there and so many directions you can go in, so I've found that it's easiest to stick to a few resources. In addition to following a few select wedding blogs and Pinners, I've found two really helpful books: Real Simple Weddings and Southern Living Wedding.
Since I'm planning a Georgia wedding with a barn reception, Southern Living Wedding is especially helpful. It was a thoughtful gift from my soon-to-be in-laws, and it's so useful. In addition to containing important information about wedding "to-dos," it also provides journaling space so I can stay organized throughout the year and then keep the book as a wedding planning keepsake.
Real Simple Weddings is actually a special edition of the magazine that hits stands once a year. I borrowed this from a friend and it's been incredibly useful during the planning process. This magazine provides a lot out-of-the-box ideas on everything from decor to invitations to favors.
So there we go! I'd love to hear about your favorite wedding or party planning resources.

I love the Real Simple Weddings magazine!! It totally helped me keep track and plan my wedding last year. :)

I know what you mean on getting overwhelmed with everything.. it's good that you set yourself to a couple of resources and stick to it! I can't wait to see more wedding posts. :)
