Summer Platform Sandals

My favorite summer trend has to be platform sandals. The best thing about platforms is that they are tall, so they make your legs look long and lean, but they also have relatively flat soles, so they are super comfy and you can walk in them all day.

My two favorite pairs are:

What trends are you into this season?

J.Crew Fall Sale

J.Crew is offering 25% and free shipping on orders over $150. I picked up this Peter Pan collar tee and these black jeans. I love Fall shopping.

Leighton for Missoni

Check out B's new gig. Love!

Sequin DIY Project

Wish I had the supplies to make these sequin shoe clips and sequin pocket tee during this snow week! Tutorial here and here.

J.Crew Spring 2011 Line

Don't get me wrong - I am so excited for cold weather, but I am loving J.Crew's spring line! See the entire collection here.

Creatures of Comfort

One day when I can buy anything I want, I will buy tons of dresses from Creatures of Comfort! Here are some of my faves:

Karen Walker Cascade Shift Dress:
APC Sailor Dress:
Creatures of Comfort Striped Boatneck Dress:

Old Navy Finds

I love walking into Old Navy or Gap at any given time knowing I can pick up some great basics - tops, shorts, shoes, blazers, etc. While these stores don't usually have "statement" clothing, they are consistent and reliable and I love them. Kristina and I ran into Old Navy yesterday and I found a few things!

I got these beauties for $12 (except in a great mustard yellow color): I love my black Old Navy trench coat, and I had to pick this red one up for UGA games in the Fall: I wear shorts all the time in the summer, and these $15 white ones are my new favorites:

Clothing Finds

I went bathing suit shopping two days ago, which was unsuccessful and utterly depressing. So then I proceeded to do what I always do when I'm bummed: eat and shop with Kristina. My shopping was very successful and I found a few gems on sale.
First of all, I got this Leifsdottir Blue Dot Blouse, which I love:
I got this plum colored Deletta Noisette Top, with sweet rosettes at the neckline:
I couldn't resist buying this Anna Sui top, although I'm not sure how I'll wear it yet:

My Perfect Beach Outfit

Wish I had these items....and a beach house! Click here for product info.

April Showers...

Are coming soon! I really need some new rainy day gear. Here is my spring wish-list:

Prepared For Precipitation Umbrella: From ModCloth.

Right To Remain Stylish Jacket: From ModCloth.

Hunter Rain Boots: From Hunter.

*Update - Scored a great deal on navy Hunter rain boots on Ebay! So excited!*

Anthropologie Wedding Line!

OMG OMG OMG! I love J.Crew wedding dresses. I am so excited that Urban Outfitters, Inc. has decided jump on the bridal gown bandwagon by announcing a 2011 Anthropologie wedding line. I absolutely love the aesthetic of Anthropologie clothes, and all of the gowns will be between $750-$5000. L-O-V-E. Picture from Martha Stewart Weddings. Read more here.

Passion Dress

Love this dress - cute for spring and UGA colors! From Lizard Thicket.

Professional Wardrobe

I am slowly but surely trying to build my professional wardrobe. I am trying to purchase "investments" rather than just buying trendy clothes. I recently bought this Silence & Noise blazer from Urban Outfitters for work. I also like to wear it with jeans for a dressy casual look. I also bought this leather bag, since I can't afford this one!

Banana Republic Finds

I really like to wear silk tops under my suit blazers. It makes me feel feminine despite wearing a blah suit. I found these tops today at Banana Republic. We ducked into the store on a whim when we were braving the snow in D.C. and they had some surprisingly great sales going on.

I also got these jeans, which fit so well. They were also on sale!

Shopping Spree

I went shopping in Georgetown a few days ago with my roommates Molly and Melissa. Georgetown has all the fun stores - Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, J.Crew, and H&M. I bought 3 tops and a great blazer.
This is one of the tops I bought from Urban Outfitters:

I thought it would be a good top for work, and luckily it is not completely unfortunate like some work clothes. Bonus: It was on sale for $29.99! :)

Washington DC

So I know I'm all over the place, but I have so much going on! I'm going to Washington DC next semester and I just found out a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I'm excited, nervous, and anxious all at the same time.

Lately I've been stocking up on warm clothes. Today's weather in Georgia is close to 75 degrees - in the middle of NOVEMBER! So you can see why I don't get around to buying a lot of really warm clothes.

I just bought this wool Old Navy jacket. I chose red so I can represent UGA in DC! :)

I bought some really pretty Ralph Lauren gloves the other day. They are deep purple with a pretty black leather bow on the cuff. I can't find a picture online to post though! :(

I ALSO ordered these mustard yellow gloves (you can never have too many pairs - right?) from Target! I love the color and the bow. They're sheepskin so they should keep my hands warm!

I am excited about all of the fun things to do in DC in the spring. When it is not frigidly cold, I want to go kayaking or canoeing on the Potomac River, eat at the adorable cupcake shops scattered around DC (check out some of the cute shops here, here, and here), go to Eastern Market every weekend, and go to the National Cherry Blossom Festival in March and April!

Old Navy Finds

I feel like Old Navy is a very hit or miss store. Sometimes I go in WANTING to find something and can't really find anything, but I found a lot of great things when Kristina and I went shopping the other day. I tried to buy cute Fall articles of clothing that are appropriate for work and class. These are the 4 things that I decided to buy:

Oldnavy's website here.

Brilliant

This is a GENIUS idea! Anna Sui for Target is launching a line in September based on the 4 main female Gossip Girl characters: Blair, Serena, Vanessa, and Jenny. What a smart idea - I know I'LL be checking out the racks at Target come Fall. Check out the entire line here!

PS - I am TOTALLY on Team Blair!
